“Sanctuary” features Cesar Gueikian, Jordan Rudess, and Mateus Asato and will benefit Save The Music Foundation via Gibson Gives
The Gibson Band is back with “Sanctuary,” a new single composed by Gibson Board member, artist ambassador, and former CEO Cesar Gueikian, celebrated keyboardist Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), and virtuoso guitarist Mateus Asato, with all proceeds going to Gibson Gives to benefit Save The Music Foundation. Meanwhile, Gibson has also announced the DES Series—an epic series of limited-run Gibson instruments born from countless hours at the workbench with Gueikian and Master Luthier Jim DeCola. A portion of every purchase will support Gibson Gives. Learn more and shop here.
The DES Series
The DES Series grew out of Master Luthier Jim DeCola and the skilled craftspeople in Gibson craftories working side-by-side with Cesar Gueikian. Countless feature combinations were explored and refined, ultimately converging on a look, feel, and sound built to become instant classics. The result is a visually striking series of limited-run instruments defined by bold inlays, fresh finishes, and feature sets inspired by a mantra Cesar champions at Gibson: “Do Epic Shit.”
DES Series models include all of the most iconic Gibson body shapes, including the Les Paul™, SG™, ES™, Explorer, Flying V™, and Victory. Featuring dramatic Ghost Burst finishes, Super Split Block inlays, compound-radius ebony fretboards, black nickel hardware, and the new Gibson ELEV8™ humbuckers™, every DES model delivers modern performance backed by Gibson craftsmanship. In keeping with the DES spirit, a portion of every Gibson.com and Gibson Garage purchase supports Gibson Gives, the Gibson 501(c)(3) charitable foundation.

The Gibson Band returns
The Gibson Band—a revolving collective of world-class musicians united by a shared mission to make music for positive impact—announces its latest single, “Sanctuary.” The track brings together Cesar Gueikian, Jordan Rudess, and Mateus Asato; three distinct musical voices in support of a single cause. The recording features orchestration and keyboards by Rudess, lead guitar by Asato, and guest vocals by Jagger Davies, with production by Gueikian and Emery Dobyns.
All proceeds from “Sanctuary” will be donated to Gibson Gives, benefiting Save The Music Foundation and its work restoring and sustaining music education programs that put instruments—and opportunity—into the hands of the students who need them most.
To mark the release, Gibson has partnered with RallyUp for an exclusive auction running September 17–October 17. The auction features a print of “Sanctuary’s” soundwaves created by Tim Wakefield of Soundwaves Art Foundation, alongside a one-of-a-kind Gibson Les Paul Standard adorned with the same soundwave artwork—a singular piece connecting the song’s sound to a guitar built to carry it forward. All auction proceeds also go to Gibson Gives, benefiting Save The Music Foundation.
