Epiphone has unveiled a new Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul™ Junior model, refreshing the guitar most loved by the Green Day frontman with a Radiant Red finish and some subtle feature tweaks. Created in close collaboration with Billie Joe, the guitar delivers professional-level performance at an accessible price point.
Following on from his 2021 signature Epiphone Les Paul Junior, this guitar continues to champion his favored straightforward, high-volume approach to playing music. Crafted for musicians who want to plug in and push things to the limit with no complexities, the Junior is reduced to the fundamentals: one pickup and two knobs (yet plenty of attitude).
Its design uses a single-cutaway slab mahogany body paired with a set mahogany neck. Here, a substantial 50s Vintage profile and a rosewood fretboard are completed by 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid dot inlays. Up top, a Kalamazoo-style headstock houses smooth and accurate Epiphone Vintage Deluxe tuners and a Graph Tech® nut for dependable tuning stability.
Each guitar comes in a hardshell case with a cool leopard-print interior
At the opposite end, the strings are anchored by a nickel-plated Lightning Bar Wraparound bridge, directly mounted to the body to enhance sustain and resonance, and compensated for improved intonation. Driving the sound is a single Epiphone P-90 PRO™ pickup, versatile enough to deliver both warm, articulate cleans and an aggressive, full-bodied growl. The electronics are routed through master volume and tone controls equipped with high-quality CTS® potentiometers for tonal flexibility.
A black single-ply Les Paul Junior pickguard completes the classic look, and a reproduction of Billie Joe Armstrong’s signature appears in black on the back of the headstock for a personal finishing touch. Each Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior includes a black custom hardshell case with an uber-cool leopard-print interior.
