A Mod Collection Flying V in Sunny V

Gibson Mod™ Collection - Break the mold with our one-of-a-kind, customized guitars.

This Mod Collection 2026 Flying V™ has a Sunny V finish. The modifications consist of the Mod Collection-exclusive custom finish, nickel hardware, a traditional bell-shaped truss rod cover, a nickel-covered Burstbucker™ ’61 neck pickup and an open-coil Custom Burstbucker Alnico 2 in the bridge position, and Witch Hat knobs. It weighs 7.7 pounds and comes with a hardshell case and two-year playability warranty.

All Gibson guitars go through rigorous QC, but every once in a while, a guitar with outstanding playability and tone doesn’t quite meet the strict cosmetic standards at our craftories. As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, these instruments are sent to the Mod Collection team to use as a blank canvas—and let their imaginations run riot.
