In this special compilation episode of The Scene—a Gibson TV Original Series that’s fast become a fan-favorite on YouTube (and Tripadvisor®) and a must-watch travel guide for those who want to research the best music location to visit—host Mark Agnesi whisks us away on a whirlwind tour of some of the series’ most iconic destinations. These range from a legendary music stores and venues in cities across America to the Gibson Garages in London and Nashville. Along the way, we get behind-the-scenes access to venues and guitar shops, exclusive interviews, and get a close look at some ultra-rare guitars.

Join Mark as we kick off the episode in London at the Gibson Garage, where Mark hooks up with Justin and Dan Hawkins of The Darkness, who drop by to take a closer look at some Gibson Custom Murphy Lab guitars, check out the Made to Measure program, and even give us a crash course in how to “properly” hold a Gibson ES-335™.

Next, we’re in Nashville, Tennessee, where Mark visits the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum and is reunited with a guitar that he once loaned to one of the crew members from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Then it’s off to Los Angeles, where we visit Norman’s Rare Guitars and take a look at a secret stash of vintage guitars that’s rarely ever been seen on camera, courtesy of Norman Harris. Norm has some incredible stories to share about the guitars he’s sold over the years, too. It’s a real treasure trove of music history.

Back in Nashville, we pay a visit to the Gibson Garage, where Mark explores The Vault and checks out some of the rarest and most desirable golden-era Gibson guitars you are ever likely to see. Then it’s off to New York City, where we swing by Rudy’s Music to catch up with Rudy Pensa and check out a historic Gibson Flying V™ in his collection. The journey doesn’t stop there, though—next, we’re back in Nashville at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop, where we come across a hidden recording studio that’s got some seriously deep ties to Elvis Presley and classic country music.

Finally, we end up in the legendary RCA Studio A to meet up with Dave Cobb, the world-renowned and multiple-award-winning record producer responsible for recording the likes of Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, and countless other stars. He gives us a brief history of how the Nashville sound was born and subsequently shaped by generations of producers and players.
