Signed by Dave Grohl himself and limited to just 50 examples from Gibson Custom, this new DG-335 model honors the Alpine White guitar he’s been playing at Foo Fighters shows since 2021
Continuing its partnership with Dave Grohl, Gibson has launched the Gibson Custom Dave Grohl DG-335 Limited Edition model in Alpine White. Made in close collaboration and with significant input from Dave, only 50 models will be available worldwide as part of a highly exclusive drop via Gibson.com and the Gibson Garage locations in Nashville and London.
This isn’t the first version of Dave’s revered DG-335 model to be made available to the public, and previous versions of his Pelham Blue model have sold out rapidly. An Epiphone version launched back in 2024, offering premium electronics and hardware, just like Epiphone’s other Inspired by Gibson Custom models. This new launch marks the first rendition of Dave’s Alpine White version, which he has played at Foo Fighters shows around the world since 2021.
Like his other signature models, this new limited-edition DG-335 from Gibson Custom blends elements of the ES-335 and Trini Lopez designs, as specified by Dave himself. The DG-335 has a semi-hollow three-ply maple/poplar/maple body featuring those instantly recognizable bound diamond-shaped soundholes (of course), single-ply cream binding, and a solid maple centerblock to reduce feedback. Its mahogany neck has been carved to a standard Trini Lopez profile, and is paired with a bound Indian rosewood fretboard, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and split diamond inlays.

A Firebird™/Trini Lopez–style headstock with Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners ensures reliable performance, while other, premium hardware includes a TonePros™ ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles, a locking TonePros Stop Bar tailpiece, and unpotted Custombuckers with aged Alnico 3 magnets. Electronics are wired with CTS® potentiometers, paper-in-oil capacitors, and a Switchcraft® three-way toggle. Gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors complete the setup.
Each Dave Grohl DG-335 arrives with a Gibson Custom hardshell case, and its soundhole label has been signed by Dave himself. With previous DG-335 releases selling out rapidly, this limited run is expected to become a coveted collector’s item, so you’ll need to act fast.
In other Foos news, the band will kick off a global stadium tour in 2026. It will be their first stadium run since the massive 2023–24 Everything or Nothing at All tour. You can grab tickets now, and you may just see and hear Dave’s very own Alpine White DG-335 in the flesh.
