This Mod Collection 2025 80s Explorer™ has a Bubble Gum Fizz finish. The modifications consist of the Mod Collection-exclusive custom finish, gold hardware, cream pickup mounting rings, 490R neck and 498T bridge pickups with gold covers, gold Top Hat knobs with gold reflectors, a historic amber toggle switch tip, and brass strap buttons. It weighs 3.63 kg and comes with a hardshell case and two-year playability warranty.

All Gibson guitars go through rigorous QC, but every once in a while, a guitar with outstanding playability and tone doesn’t quite meet the strict cosmetic standards at our craftories. As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, these instruments are sent to the MOD Collection team to use as a blank canvas—and let their imaginations run riot.
