Gibson has partnered with Loog®, the award-winning children’s guitar brand, to introduce a line of three-string guitars. Designed to be approachable and inspiring for kids, the Gibson x Loog Les Paul™ was specifically developed to make learning guitar easy and fun. Though small in size, this guitar is powerful in sound and makes no compromise on quality or style while being much easier to grasp with smaller hands.

The Gibson x Loog Les Paul offers simplified playability and genuine electric guitar sound. Crafted with real guitar components, the three-string configuration simplifies chords, enabling kids to play songs and easily build confidence much faster than they can with a full-sized guitar. The Gibson x Loog Les Paul features a poplar body with a gloss polyurethane finish that is available in three vibrant colors. The short-scale (20.6” / 524 mm) bolt-on Canadian maple neck has a 1.14” / 29 mm nut width, making it the perfect size for small hands to hold. The rosewood fretboard has 19 frets and white plastic position markers for a clear visual reference. The headstock has a bone nut and three maintenance-free die-cast tuning machines for easy, reliable tuning. The other ends of the strings are anchored to a custom Gibson x Loog Lightning Bar Wraparound bridge for stability and tone. The three strings are tuned exactly the same as the three highest-pitched strings of a full-sized, standard electric guitar (1st E: .011”, 2nd B: .015”, 3rd G: .019”), and the light strings are easy to press down and gentle on the fingers. The strings can also be tuned to open tunings like Open D or Open G for even simpler playability.

The Gibson x Loog Les Paul is powered by a custom Gibson x Loog single-coil Dogear pickup that delivers authentic electric guitar tone. The controls are kept simple, with a single volume control with an easy-to-grip black Top Hat knob for volume adjustment. A standard 1/4” output jack allows for connectivity to any standard guitar or headphone/practice amp. Additionally, each guitar comes with Loog’s signature learning tools, including flashcards, an app with video lessons, and a Gibson x Loog activity book. Additional accessories, from straps to soft cases, are also available.
