A new, non-color-shifting finish option for the Futura Les Paul Custom
The new Futura Series guitars from Epiphone are designed for today’s guitarists who want a guitar that delivers professional performance and forward-thinking features. These Inspired by Gibson models deliver tone and style that’s perfect for gigging, recording, or content creation in the modern era. With bold finishes, all-new pickups, and versatile electronic features like coil splitting and phase switching, they have the look and sound that today’s players need to stand out from the crowd and make their own statement, both sonically and visually. And now, a racing-inspired, non-color-shifting finish option joins the series. All of the other high-performance features, including stainless steel frets, compound-radius fretboards, and ultra-comfortable neck profiles, are still here. The Futura Series guitars are truly innovative and a must-have addition for any guitar collection.
The Gibson Les Paul™ is one of the most successful electric guitar designs of all time, and has been played by countless musical legends across genres and generations. Epiphone is proud to introduce the new Futura Les Paul Custom, a modern version of this iconic model featuring exciting new features for Les Paul lovers worldwide. The mahogany body has Ultra Modern weight relief, for a lighter guitar that doesn’t compromise resonance and sustain. The mahogany body is topped with a maple cap that adds a bit of extra brightness and snappy attack to the midrange warmth of the mahogany for that legendary Les Paul tonewood recipe. It features 7-ply binding on the top, while the back features a Modern Contoured Heel neck joint that eases access to the upper frets. It is equipped with a LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and a LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece for excellent intonation and sustain, and Posi-Lok™ strap buttons keep your strap securely attached without the need for additional hardware. The set mahogany neck features a long neck tenon, an ultra-comfortable, fast-playing Modern C profile, and is fitted with a bound ebony fretboard with 22 stainless steel medium jumbo frets and elegant Super 400-style pearloid split block inlays. The fretboard also features a 10”-14” compound radius, making chording and string bends equally comfortable. The bound Kalamazoo headstock features locking Grover® Rotomatic® tuners with kidney buttons, a Graph Tech® nut, and displays the Epiphone logo and the Custom split diamond inlay in mother-of-pearl.
The Futura Les Paul Custom is equipped with a pair of Epiphone’s new ProBucker™ Ignite humbucker™ pickups that can drive your amp hard when needed, while retaining clarity. Push/pull volume and tone controls provide coil-splitting and phase options for even more tonal variety. In addition to the color-shifting models, the Futura Les Paul Custom is now available in a non-color-shifting, racing-inspired Dragstrip Black finish, sure to be popular and designed to look great on camera or on any stage. Whether you’re looking for an instrument with a modern aesthetic and features or a versatile instrument with plenty of sonic options, the Futura Les Paul Custom is an excellent choice. Take one home today and elevate your content creation, recordings, live performances, and personal expression to a whole new level. It comes packed in a premium gig bag, so it’s ready to join you wherever your music takes you.
