The Gibson ES-355™ has long been a player favorite, and we’re proud to introduce the new Futura ES-355, a stunning, modern take on the legendary design first introduced in 1958. The Futura ES-355 is a semi-hollowbody model featuring a solid maple centerblock with a weight-relief window for enhanced sustain and improved feedback resistance while remaining lightweight and comfortable to hold and play. It is equipped with a LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece for outstanding intonation and sustain, while Posi-Lok™ strap buttons keep your strap securely attached without any extra hardware. The mahogany neck features an ultra-comfortable, fast-playing Modern C profile and is topped with a bound ebony fretboard with 22 stainless steel medium jumbo frets and Super 400-style pearloid split block inlays. The fretboard also features a 10”-14” compound radius, making chording and string bends equally effortless. The 5-ply bound Kalamazoo headstock is equipped with locking Grover® Rotomatic® tuners, a Graph Tech® nut, and the Epiphone logo and large Custom split diamond inlays, both in mother-of-pearl.
Powering the Futura ES-355 are a pair of Epiphone’s new ProBucker™ Ignite humbucker™ pickups that can hit your amp hard when you want to, while retaining clarity and note definition. Push/pull volume and tone controls provide coil-splitting and phase options, further enhancing its tonal versatility. The Futura ES-355 is available in two exciting Chromashift color-shifting finishes: Firestorm Shift and Dragonfly Shift, each designed to stand out on camera or on any stage.
