Gibson honors Jake Kiszka’s “Beloved” 1961 Les Paul SG Standard with new signature model

From carving the sounds of Greta Van Fleet to the foundations of his new band Mirador, Jake Kiszka and his 1961 Les Paul SG Standard are inseparable—and fans can now own a version of their own

Gibson has unveiled the Jake Kiszka SG™ Standard, a signature model honoring the bond between Greta Van Fleet’s Jake Kiszka and his treasured 1961 Gibson Les Paul SG Standard, the guitar that helped him to define his sonic fingerprint as a guitarist and that he affectionately named “The Beloved.” This special signature model has been handcrafted in Nashville, Tennessee, and is produced in a limited run.

The Jake Kiszka SG Standard retains the essence of his ’61 Les Paul SG through its contours, deep-edge bevelling, and double‐cutaway design. Finished in a Faded Vintage Cherry gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, it features a SlimTaper™ mahogany neck and a rosewood fretboard fitted with 22 medium jumbo frets, accented with acrylic trapezoid inlays that glow beneath the radiance of stage lighting.

Electronics include a pair of T‐Type humbuckers™ providing the articulate clarity and high‐end bite that drives Jake’s sound. Each pickup is paired with independent volume and tone controls featuring Orange Drop® capacitors. Hear Jake put his signature guitar through its paces in the video below:

Anchoring the strings is an ABR‐1 Tune‐O‐Matic™ bridge paired with a stop tailpiece positioned beneath a classic Sideways Vibrola™ cover. While visually faithful to Jake’s 1961 SG, the Vibrola unit has been intentionally locked to provide enhanced stability. A Graph Tech® nut and Gibson Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons further aid this guitar’s tuning stability.

Each limited‐edition instrument arrives in a black hardshell case decorated with Jake’s custom doubloon logo. Inside, players will find both a standard backplate installed on the guitar and a hand-signed and stamped Jake Kiszka backplate, along with a custom leather strap featuring his metallic coin pendant.

Jake will be celebrating the launch of this new guitar at a special event at the Gibson Garage Nashville on Thursday, April 23, with an in-store Q&A with Mat Koehler, Vice President of Product at Gibson. Fans should plan to arrive at the Garage early to ensure entry.

The Gibson Jake Kiszka SG Standard is available now worldwide via authorized Gibson dealers, Gibson Garage locations, and Gibson.com.
