This Mod Collection 2025 Les Paul™ Studio Session has a Retro Hot Rod finish. The modifications consist of the Mod Collection-exclusive custom finish, gold hardware including Grover® tuners, a clear pickguard, clear Top Hat knobs, 490R neck and 498T bridge pickups with gold covers, and plug-and-play electronics with 2 volumes with push/pull coil splitting, 2 tones with push/pull phase switching and true bypass, and 3-way pickup switch. It weighs 8.05 pounds and comes with a hardshell case and two-year playability warranty.
All Gibson guitars go through rigorous QC, but every once in a while, a guitar with outstanding playability and tone doesn’t quite meet the strict cosmetic standards at our craftories. As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, these instruments are sent to the Mod Collection team to use as a blank canvas—and let their imaginations run riot.
