1954 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop, Serial Number 4 3360
This 1954 Gibson Les Paul™ Goldtop is a fantastic example of an early Les Paul in fully original condition. It captures everything that makes these guitars so coveted—resonant mahogany, a carved maple top, and a pair of exceptional-sounding P-90s that deliver the unmistakable voice of the era.
It spent its entire life in Kansas until now and remains in very good shape, with mild checking throughout, including some areas of greening, and light playwear consistent with honest use. There’s light buckle rash on the back, but no breaks or repairs, and every part is original—including the original black leather strap still tucked in the case pocket. The P-90 pickups deliver classic tone with chime and clarity. The neck pickup has a boomy character, while the bridge pickup provides punch and presence without being overly bright.
