Designed for stability and speed, three new Kramer Pacer Deluxe models are ideal for high-performance players
Kramer has launched the Pacer Deluxe Collection, marking the return of its Pacer model in Deluxe, Deluxe GT, and Deluxe 87 EMG versions. These three new models are now available at both authorized Kramer retailers, as well as the recently updated KramerGuitars.com website, where you’ll also find exclusive colors.
Part of our Gibson family of brands since 1997, Kramer continues to craft premium instruments made with technical, high-performance players in mind. With this Deluxe Collection, Kramer refreshes the classic design that became a staple across rock and metal following its original launch in 1981, for the players of today. Giving these three new guitars their Deluxe namesake are modern enhancements that improve stability and comfort for the most rigorous of rock artists. All three include a premium gig bag. Let’s take a closer look at each one.
Kramer Pacer Deluxe GT
While featuring the iconic beak headstock, the Pacer Deluxe GT is infused with contemporary upgrades while retaining classic Kramer DNA. It has a Kramer GT 2-Point vibrato system with a push-in arm, and its body is crafted from alder. Its shape offers forearm and belly cuts along with a sculpted neck heel for full fretboard access. The satin-finished, thermally aged maple neck sports a walnut skunk stripe and a Modern Elliptical C profile, and its fretboard is home to 22 medium jumbo frets with black dot inlays, offering a compound radius of 10-14 inches.
A spoke wheel-style truss rod adjustment at the base of the fretboard ensures quick setup tweaks, and the 25.5-inch scale length is ideal for drop tuning. It also features a new Kramer KeyLock system, developed by Richard Akers (Senior Product Development Engineer), which provides stronger neck stability in conjunction with a sturdy five-bolt neck joint—improving tone transfer, sustain, and intonation. At its core, this guitar features a Kramer USA Golden Classic humbucker™ in the bridge position, paired with two complementing Kramer USA Triton noiseless pickups in the neck and middle positions. The Pacer Deluxe GT is available in TriBurst and Intruder Black finishes, plus an exclusive Butterscotch option available online only.
Kramer Pacer Deluxe
The Pacer Deluxe shares several features with its GT sibling, including the same beak headstock, a sculpted neck heel, a maple neck, and an alder body. This model differs with the addition of a Floyd Rose® 1000 Series double-locking vibrato system and is powered by a Kramer USA Golden Classic humbucker in the bridge position, paired with two Kramer USA Triton noiseless pickups in the neck and middle. Complete with the Kramer KeyLock system, the Pacer Deluxe is available in Ruby Red Metallic and Classic White finishes, plus an exclusive Kerry Green offered online.
Kramer Pacer Deluxe 87 EMG
A standout of the Pacer Deluxe range, this version has a resonant poplar body and a satin-finished, thermally aged three-piece maple neck boasting the 87 SpeedTaper profile for blazing-fast playability. It has a 25.5-inch scale length and a rosewood fretboard offering a compound 10–14 inch radius, 22 jumbo frets, and mother-of-pearl dot inlays. This model also stands out for its bound Kramer pointy headstock, including a rear-mounted wrench holder and a Floyd Rose R2 locking nut.
Additionally, it hosts the new Kramer KeyLock system. It stays true to its name with a trio of active EMG™ pickups: EMG SA single coils sit in the neck and middle positions, and an EMG 89 humbucker at the bridge, complete with a five-way blade switch and a mini toggle for coil splitting. Finished with a Floyd Rose 1000 Series vibrato, the Pacer Deluxe 87 EMG is available exclusively via KramerGuitars.com in a striking Flip Flop Blue look.
