It retains the sleek, double-cutaway silhouette that made the SG an icon while featuring a mahogany back capped with an AA maple top—a pairing often found on Les Paul™ models. This combination delivers all the resonant warmth and sustain players expect from a Gibson guitar. An asymmetrical SlimTaper™ mahogany neck provides a comfortable grip at every position, and the 24-fret ebony fingerboard has a compound radius that keeps chording smooth near the nut and facilitates effortless bends further up. Mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays lend an upscale touch, and Grover® Mini Rotomatics® tuners maintain precise tuning through everything from subtle riffs to full-on shredding.
