1969 ES-330TDW SERIAL: 894307

Boasting the same dimensions as the ES-335, the ES-330 was its hollowbody cousin that debuted in 1959. Although the trend toward heavier guitar sounds at the time and its predisposition to feed back at high volume made it take a back seat to the ES-335, today, it’s appreciated as a versatile instrument for many styles of music.

This gorgeous example from 1969 comes from the Gibson HQ Vault and has two features that debuted on the ES-330 in 1967: a Walnut finish and the 19th fret neck joint that gave it the "long neck" moniker (ES-330s prior to 1967 had a 16th fret neck joint). It has a narrow 1 9/16" nut width, and its visual accents include chrome covers on the Dogear P-90 pickups and black Witch Hat knobs.

The instrument is in very good overall condition, showing only light scratches and dings throughout. The frets are original. They’re low and worn but playable. There is also a small amount of thumb wear on the top of the neck in the first and second fret areas. It ships with a non-original black hardshell case.

Availability Date: The purchased instrument will be available for pickup at the Gibson Garage in Nashville, or shipment to an address in the US, starting May 30, 2024.
