1965 Gibson SG Junior, Serial Number 513848
This Gibson Certified Vintage 1965 SG™ Junior is a very cool mid-60s example that feels great in hand and is a joy to play—even with the narrower nut width typical of the era. It’s all original, featuring a Lightning Bar Wraparound bridge, short Maestro™ Vibrola™ tailpiece, and a single Dogear P-90 pickup for straightforward, no-frills tone.
The guitar is in great condition overall, with light nicks, dings, scratches, and mild playwear, notably on the back of the neck between the 9th and 14th frets. The original pickguard tip at the treble horn had separated due to shrinkage; a replica guard was crafted and installed by Glaser Instruments, and the original is included in the case. A small bit of separation at the heel was also glued and stabilized by Glaser. There is no movement in the neck, and the reinforcement was done to ensure long-term stability.
Comes with its original chipboard case, a Gibson SG Protector Case, Certificate of Authenticity, Letter of Appraisal, and new Limited Lifetime Warranty.
