An immersive and unfiltered look at the grit, grind, and rise of Jared James Nichols, capturing the defining moments and raw experiences that shaped his journey as an artist
The Gibson storytelling studio, Gibson Films, has released a brand-new music documentary on blues-rock artist, Gibson Brand Ambassador, and Epiphone signature artist Jared James Nichols, offering an immersive insider account of the grind that’s gone into his journey as an artist. Titled The Long Road, the long-form documentary is available to stream worldwide now, exclusively on Gibson TV—and you can watch it by hitting the play button above.
The film features candid interviews with blues titan Joe Bonamassa, Black Label Society and Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde, GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour, Fall Out Boy), and others, all of which help bring to life a detailed picture of Jared’s story, right from the early days in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
The film has been in the making for more than five years, with cameras following Nichols through some of his most career-defining moments, documenting both personal and professional highs and lows. As a result, The Long Road explores the unwavering dedication required to pursue a life in music.
The Long Road also highlights the creative process behind Nichols’ new album, Louder Than Fate, released June 5, 2026. Produced and mixed by Jay Ruston, with additional production by Roger Alan Nichols (Larkin Poe, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, Hayley Williams of Paramore), the album was recorded at Foo Fighters’ Studio 606 in California.
Tonight (June 18), in celebration of the film’s premiere and the release of Louder Than Fate, Nichols will appear at the Gibson Showroom in Los Angeles, California, for a special launch event. The evening will feature an album listening experience, an artist Q&A, a screening of highlights from The Long Road documentary, and a live performance.
