De Nachtwacht is the new musical project of Dutch artist Jiri Taihuttu, blending soft-rock warmth with modern pop, funk, and everything that swings. Known for his expressive guitar work and storytelling, Jiri steps away from his hip-hop roots and embraces a retro-modern sound that feels nostalgic yet forward-thinking. On stage, De Nachtwacht performs as a full five-piece band. De Nachtwacht really is a unique new voice in the Dutch music landscape: intimate, soulful, and unmistakably guitar-driven. The name De Nachtwacht is translated as The Nightwatch, the world-famous painting of Rembrandt.
