Gibson has created a top-tier instrument that pairs high-performance features with dazzling aesthetics. An AAA figured maple top (plain maple on the 3-pickup Gibson exclusive model) crowns a mahogany body with Ultra-Modern Weight Relief for striking visual appeal, along with a lighter feel. All that classic Les Paul warmth and sustain remain intact, enhanced by a touch of modern comfort. The mahogany neck has an ebony fretboard with a compound radius and Super Split Block mother-of-pearl inlays, along with a Modern Contoured Heel for exceptional upper-fret access. The headstock is adorned with a striking new mother-of-pearl inlay inspired by a design from the 1940s that was discovered in the Gibson archives.
Burstbucker™ Pro and Burstbucker Pro + pickups are paired with push/pull volume and tone potentiometers for flexible coil tap, phase, and Pure Bypass switching (individual push/pull volume controls for flexible coil tap switching and a Master Tone control on the 3-pickup model). This setup suits everything from warm, Patent Applied For-style tones to more aggressive rock sounds. The gorgeous finishes are elegantly highlighted with gold hardware, making this not only a great-sounding and highly flexible instrument but also an exceptionally beautiful-looking modern rock machine. A hardshell case is also included.
