Artist Biography
Bandalos Chinos was formed in 2009 and solidified its lineup in 2014, the year they released their successful EP, “Nunca Estuve Acá.” Since then, the group has been responsible for raising the bar for indie music, both in Argentina and across Latin America, through an internationally competitive pop proposal in terms of musical production and independent management.
The band from northern Buenos Aires managed to establish itself as the undisputed reference for the new indie sound throughout Latin America, as attested by their trilogy of albums produced with Adán Jodorowsky: “BACH” (2018), “Paranoia Pop” (2020), and “El Big Blue” (2022). With hits playing on radios, in bars, at parties, and in shops throughout Latin America—such as “Vámonos de Viaje”, “Mi Fiesta”, “Demasiado”, and “Departamento”—Bandalos Chinos has earned recognition including 3 Premios Gardel, 2 Latin Grammy® nominations, and sold-out shows at the legendary Luna Park in Buenos Aires and the Teatro Metropolitan in CDMX, among others. The success of their project has led them to tour not only across Latin America but also in Spain and the United States, completing over 20 sold-out dates in major US cities.
In 2025, Bandalos Chinos released their fourth album, “Vándalos,” produced with Fermín Ugarte and intended to shake up the music scene. Honest, mature, restless, and forceful in all its aspects, “Vándalos” opens the door to a new phase in the band’s trajectory. One in which Bandalos Chinos assumes its leadership and embraces the implicit but persistent mission throughout their career: to push the boundaries of indie music. A new foundational moment that ensures relevance, youth, and freshness during a time of maturity and realization. This album garnered two Latin Grammy nominations in the categories of Best Pop/Rock Album and Best Alternative Song (“El Ritmo”). Following the release of their new album, Bandalos Chinos embarked on a tour that took them to the most important and iconic venues in various cities, such as Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires, Auditorio Nacional in Mexico, Teatro Caupolican in Chile, Royal Center in Bogotá, La Riviera in Madrid, Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, NK Hall in NYC, among others.
