The HR Generalist is responsible for performing broad professional human resources tasks to support policies and programs including benefit programs, employee relations, recruiting and HRIS, responds to employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures. Resolves employee concerns using employee relations skills and methodologies.
Essential Functions
- Implement HR initiatives (strategies and policies)
- Manage full-cycle recruitment process for Gibson (including manufacturing facilities)
- Manage and assist with facilitation of New Hire Orientation, lead in HR onboarding
- Creating a positive work environment through relationship building
- Benefits support (open enrollment, maintenance, plan knowledge/support)
- Employee relations
- Support with time-card entries for payroll (as needed)
- Adhere to compliance for State and Federal regulations
- Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting
- Adhere to record retention including document control and management
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations
- Other duties as assigned
- Projects and/or other duties as requested by Senior Management, HR and Production teams
- Be an integral member of various project teams to change/improve processes as the company evolves

- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with Team Members in all locations so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions
- Leverages strengths of the current HR team members, helping to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training programs in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals
- Provides leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels; creating and promoting a positive and supportive work environment
- Leads in Change Management and process improvement initiatives. Team Member may be asked to perform other duties that are reasonable within the area of expertise

- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office

Education and Experience
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- SHRM designation preferred
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience (manufacturing environment a plus)
