We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our organization and participate in our Summer 2024 internship program. In the HR intern role, this individual will work with several members of the HR team but will report to the HR Programs Manager. This individual will assist in the recruitment process, conducting HR data analysis, assisting with special projects such as the company wide Health Fair, audits and support Team Members with day-to-day needs. Success in this role will be demonstrated by delivering high-quality and timely HR project completion, effectiveness with employee assistance while providing a positive employee experience and, fully engaged with the HR department meeting daily objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in HR related projects such as health fair, data analysis, and HRIS audits
- Update internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms
- Gather payroll data such as leaves, working hours and confidential information
- Screen resumes and application forms
- Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates
- Post, update and remove job ads from job boards, careers pages and social networks
- Prepare HR-related reports as needed
- Address Team Member queries (such as number of remaining PTO days, and other general questions)
- Review and distribute company policies in digital formats or hard copies, as needed
- Participate in organizing company events and careers days
- Other responsibilities assigned by the HR Program Manager and HR department
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a university or college program at junior or senior level, preferred course of study to include Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, or related
- Minimum GPA of 3.5
- Knowledge of U.S. Labor Laws, preferred
- Proficient in MS Office – Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Able to demonstrate professional work ethics especially with confidential information
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
- Organization and planning capabilities with ability to multitask and work on different projects
- Strong Time Management skills (Works well to meet deadlines)
