1963 Gibson Hummingbird Cherry Sunburst

1963 Gibson Hummingbird, Serial Number 131896
Introduced in 1960 as Gibson’s first square-shouldered dreadnought, the Hummingbird™ quickly became an icon for its rich tone and ornate aesthetic touches. Favored by rock, country, and folk players alike, the Hummingbird’s combination of a Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and 24.75” scale length offers balanced, musical sound with warm lows and crisp highs.
This 1963 Gibson Hummingbird remains in very good condition, showing even lacquer checking throughout, as well as light nicks and dings. There is a glued and cleated crack where the pickguard meets the neck, and the bridge has been re-glued by Glaser Instruments. The guitar also has old lacquer touch-ups around the 1st fret (due to playwear) and on the headstock. The original bridge pins (five of six) are included in the case, with rosewood replacements installed.
Ships in its original black and gold Lifton® case and includes a Certificate of Authenticity, Letter of Appraisal, and new Limited Lifetime Warranty.
