1957 Gibson LG-3 Natural

1957 Gibson LG-3, Serial Number U9760 29
Debuting in 1942, Gibson’s LG series offered compact, flat-top acoustics with a big sound and easy-playing feel perfect for folk strummers, fingerpickers, and singer-songwriters alike. The LG-3, distinguished by its natural finish and top binding, was the highest-end offering in the LG lineup until it was replaced by the B-25 in the early 60s.
This Gibson Certified Vintage 1957 LG-3 is a beautiful small-body acoustic with just the right amount of character. The guitar has had regular maintenance, including a replaced bone nut and saddle, as well as repaired cracks along the edge of the pickguard and at the fingerboard junction. The bridge appears to have been shaved slightly, and a neck reset may have been performed. Loud, lively, lightweight, and easy to play, this one’s a little charmer! It ships with a modern TKL hardshell case.
