The Kramer 50th Anniversary 84 honors Kramer’s first Golden Age and is one of the most influential electric guitars of all time, but this isn’t about bring back the spirit of the 80s; this guitar is ideal for today’s guitarists who are seeking a fast-playing design that can keep up with their technical virtuosity and deliver the goods for not only 80s metal but today’s modern rock and heavy genres. This renowned rocker features a lightweight alder body with forearm and rear tummy contours, making it comfortable to play all night long. The deep double cutaways on the body let you hit the high notes with ease. The satin-finished bolt-on hard maple neck has a walnut skunk stripe on the back, a 25.5” scale length, a maple fretboard, and fast-playing Kramer K-Speed SlimTaper™ C profile, while the 22 jumbo frets facilitate easy string bends and left-hand vibrato. The big banana headstock is outfitted with a Floyd Rose® R2 locking nut, black mini die-cast tuners, a black string retaining bar, and a matching black wrench holder on the rear. The headstock is also finished in Anniversary Gold to match the body, and has a matching Anniversary Gold stinger on the rear.
The hardware on the Kramer 50th Anniversary 84 is all black, including a set of die-cast tuners, the headstock string retaining bar, and the Allen wrench holder that’s conveniently located on the headstock rear so you’ll always have the tools available for quick adjustments and string changes. The Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo delivers unmatched tuning stability, regardless of how hard or often you work the wiggle stick. In the electronics department, the 50th Anniversary 84 keeps it simple, with a single uncovered Kramer Eruption PRO™ humbucker with double black bobbins that’s wired to a single volume control. The pickup is mounted directly into the alder body for more resonance and sustain, and a streamlined, no-nonsense look. The volume control includes a built-in push/pull series/parallel switch for two classic tones from the single pickup, yielding a brighter tone in parallel mode. When running in series, it delivers the full-shred humbucker™ tone you crave and the scorching-hot output you need to drive your amp—and your fans—into a frenzy.
