The J-45 Standard 12-String features a round-shoulder dreadnought body crafted with solid mahogany back and sides paired with a solid Sitka spruce top. Scalloped X-bracing supports the top, while multi-ply binding frames the top and single-ply binding outlines the back. This proven tonewood combination and construction provide a strong foundation for the shimmer, depth, and natural chorus effect created by its 12-string configuration, adding width and definition to strummed chords, picked passages, and open-position voicings without changing the comfortable round-shoulder format that defines the J-45. The mahogany neck has a fast, comfortable SlimTaper™ profile and is attached to the body with a compound dovetail neck-to-body joint using hot hide glue. Its wider, 1.88-inch bone nut provides the spacing needed for the 12-string configuration, while the Indian rosewood fretboard has a 12-inch radius, 20 standard frets, and mother-of-pearl dot inlays. Nickel-plated Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners provide smooth, precise adjustment across all 12 strings.

The reverse-belly bridge is crafted from rosewood and fitted with a TUSQ® saddle and bridge pins. A tortoiseshell teardrop pickguard completes the familiar J-45 aesthetic.
