Bold, beautiful, and blue—it’s the Flying V for you

Few electric guitars are as visually striking or as unapologetically bold as the Flying V™, and the new Epiphone Flying V in Vice City Blue brings that legendary design into a modern, culture-forward spotlight. Inspired by the original 1958 Flying V, this model retains the radical silhouette and aggressive attitude that have defined decades of boundary-pushing music, now finished in a vibrant Vice City Blue gloss that commands attention on any stage.

The Epiphone Flying V is crafted with a mahogany body that features the iconic ’58 V-shape that gives this model its radical, futuristic appearance as well as its name. The glued-in mahogany neck has a fast-playing SlimTaper™ C profile, and is capped with a rosewood fretboard equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid dot inlays. The 12” fretboard radius means that first-position chords as well as string bends are equally comfortable, with no risk of notes fretting out.

The arrowhead-shaped headstock, another visual hallmark of the original Flying V design, is outfitted with high-quality Epiphone Deluxe tuning machines, along with a GraphTech® nut. The pair work together to ensure solid, stable tuning. The headstock also proudly displays a raised, nickel-plated plastic Epiphone logo. The other ends of the strings pass over an Epiphone LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic bridge that offers full action height and independent intonation adjustment for each string, and pass through a Flying V chevron tailpiece and anchor at the back of the body for exceptional resonance and sustain.

Powering the Epiphone Flying V are a pair of Epiphone’s acclaimed ProBucker™ humbucker™ pickups, with a ProBucker 2 in the neck position that’s perfectly matched with a slightly hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge position. They deliver everything from sweet, pristine clean tones to aggressive distorted tones when you crank up your amp. Each pickup is wired to its own volume control, while a three-way selector switch lets you use either pickup individually or combine and blend them together in any ratio you choose. A master tone control provides additional tonal shaping capability. This Flying V delivers all the punch, clarity, and sustain that player expect from true rock icon.

Offered as a premium, yet accessible take on one of Gibson’s most forward-thinking designs, the Epiphone Flying V pairs timeless attitude with modern execution. It’s the perfect guitar for players who want to make a statement and who refuse to blend in. It comes packaged in a premium gig bag for safe storage and easy transport to wherever your music might take you next.
