With original two-channel architecture and the beloved diamond-plate design of the original, this revived model looks just as classic as it is punchy and powerful
The MESA/Boogie® 90s Dual Rectifier® Standard has returned, offering modern enhancements while retaining original character and heritage. First introduced in 1992, the Dual Rectifier Solo Head became known for its bold diamond‐plate design and rock-ready sound. MESA/Boogie’s faithful yet refined tribute not only refreshes its visual flair but also brings the original two‐channel architecture back to life with improved performance and an upgraded Clean Mode.
Handcrafted in Petaluma, California, this reimagined classic high-gain amp is available in the famed Diamond Plate and Black design, as well as a limited-edition red chassis version. Its launch follows on from the newly revived 90s Triple Rectifier Solo Head with a previously custom blackout aesthetic, and the first iteration of the revived 90s Dual Rectifier, which landed in January of last year.
With this two‐channel model, players can access the Vintage/Orange and Modern/Red voices, while its Channel Style/Cloning feature allows each channel to adopt the other’s voicing for expanded tonal flexibility. It also has a patented switchable Tube or Silicon Diode Rectification system, so you can fine‐tune response, sag, and character. A Bold/Spongy Variac switch introduces voltage‐dependent feel and harmonic bloom. With 100 watts of Class A/B tube power driven by four MESA 6L6s (or optional EL34s via Bias Select), the amplifier delivers punch, saturation, and dynamic sensitivity.
The limited‐edition iteration of the 90s Dual Rectifier Standard features a Rosso Scuderia Red chassis and Black Snake vinyl
On the outside, it offers the original black chassis, chrome Speed knobs, and the polished aluminum diamond-plate grille that defined the look of the era, while the inside packs five 12AX7 preamp tubes that shape the amp’s signature gain structure. A tube‐driven series effects loop also provides seamless integration with pedals and processors, and there are independent Gain, Treble, Middle, Bass, Presence, and Master controls on each channel, plus a global output Level control.
The limited‐edition red chassis 90s Dual Rectifier Standard showcases a striking Rosso Scuderia Red chassis and Black Snake vinyl aesthetic that is a match made in heaven for the newly reissued Boogie® Split Back 4x12 or 2x12 cabinets. Back after nearly three decades, these cabinets are open on top for airy cleans and sealed below for tight, percussive lows, all while offering a Red grille and MESA/Boogie logo to match the exclusive red chassis head.
The new 90s Dual Rectifier Standard is available worldwide at authorized MESA/Boogie dealers, Gibson Garage locations, and mesaboogie.com.
