“My music is crafted out of the pieces from the bottom of my heart”
Introducing Nieve Ella, the latest addition to the Gibson Artist Spotlight program, dedicated to showcasing and supporting exceptional emerging talent around the world. Healing broken hearts through hooks and harmonies, UK artist Nieve Ella has already gained support from BBC Radio One, NME, and Rolling Stone, among others. We recently caught up with her to find out more.
How would you describe your music?
“My music is crafted out of the pieces from the bottom of my heart. It’s a mix of all my influences and the music I listen to on a daily basis. I write about my experiences navigating young adulthood and womanhood; a blend of infectious melodies and big indie bridges.”
What is your favourite piece of gear that you own?
“My Epiphone Emily Wolfe Sheraton electric guitar in black. I got it in February 2023 and haven’t looked back! I tend to play it in an open tuning, which it holds very well. It’s got a deep, warm sound which matches my songwriting well.”
What has been the highlight of your musical career so far?
“Going on a six-week arena tour with Girl in Red around the UK and Europe and visiting cities I’ve never been to before has definitely been a massive highlight. Norway was an amazing experience, as well as driving through Austria—the views were gorgeous.”

What would be your dream artist or producer collaboration, and why?
“Beabadoobee—she was a very early influence for me and she represents women in rock spaces very well. We could make something magical.”
What does being part of the Gibson Artist Spotlight program mean to you?
“It means a lot. I never thought I’d be a guitarist, so to be supported by such a legendary brand is the most flattering. Gibson have supported me throughout my whole career right from the start, so I owe them a lot.”
What's next on the horizon for you?
“I’m in the midst of promoting my debut album! I will be continuing this throughout the next year and playing the biggest shows and festivals of my career.”
