We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our organization and participate in our Summer 2024 internship program. As a Social Media Intern, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence and engaging with our target audience across various social media platforms. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of social media trends. This role will report to the Social Media Manager but will also support the Marketing team, as needed.
This is an internship position with opportunities for learning and growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the marketing team to develop valuable skills in social media management and digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation:
- Develop creative and engaging content for various social media platforms, including text, image, and video content.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with brand guidelines and promotional objectives.
- Social Media Management:
- Monitor and manage social media accounts, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Schedule and publish content across platforms using social media management tools (Hootsuite).
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Track key social media metrics, analyze performance data, and provide insights to optimize content and strategy.
- Prepare regular reports on social media analytics and suggest improvements based on findings.
- Community Engagement:
- Foster and grow online communities by actively engaging with followers, influencers, and industry partners.
- Identify and implement strategies to increase follower base and enhance brand loyalty.
- Trend Research:
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging social media platforms.
- Provide recommendations for incorporating new trends and features into the social media strategy.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program, such as Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proactive and eager to learn, with a passion for staying current on social media trends.

Experience:
