Job Summary: The purpose of the Neckline/Fingerboard CNC Operator is to take radius cut fingerboards and mill precise inlay routings that prepare the components to be assembled into the final product.  Inlay routing is where the fingerboards are cut to accept the inlays. Team members are required to have great attention to detail and intimate knowledge of the different models and machine programs.  This is where a fingerboard begins to take on the characteristics that determine what model it will be and is a vital process in the creation of a guitar that is both beautiful and unique.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Learn and execute standard operating procedures.
  • Safely operate complex CNC machinery.
  • Perform routine checks for safety and quality on all tools associated with machines.
  • Inspect incoming material for proper quality and quantity.
  • 95% pass rate based on production requirements.
  • Operate to a set weekly output schedule.
  • Understands and meets quality standards (Specs.) 
  • Maintains product flow at appropriate rate.
  • Adheres to department protocols (5S and Safety) 

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints as well as adjusting offsets.
  • Outstanding time management skillset with the ability to prioritize without direct supervision. 
  • Develop a strong understanding of all guitar models.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand all day and lift guitars throughout the day.
