Job Summary:

 The Partnerships Director leads overall partnership strategy, opportunity exploration and execution to advance Gibson’s mission, priorities, and growth strategies, focused on activations, collaborations, and licensing opportunities. Working closely with our Branding, Marketing, Product Development and Entertainment Relations teams the candidate will set the agenda, priorities, and execution roadmap, in an operationally efficient manner. The role will grow brand awareness, credibility, and emotional connections among our customers through ground-breaking partnerships with VIPs, musicians, and like-minded brands.

 

 

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • In collaboration with the Brand President and VP of Cultural Influence, the candidate will draft a partnerships plan by brand, category, and region (globally) 
  • Evaluate and structure potential partnerships and business development prospects and build business cases for recommended opportunities that drive brand awareness, provide access to new customer acquisition opportunities, and accelerate current capabilities around community experience 
  • Lead team that serves as hub of a cross-functional wheel to execute all facets of key partnerships including product, marketing, PR, content, online and in-store experiences 
  • Oversee the creation of innovative tactics that leverage partnerships to increase Gibson awareness, engagement, and brand love 
  • Develop a calendarized roadmap, go to market strategic calendar that aligns with the brand’s strategy and go to market calendar
  • Develop collaboration pitch materials and lead pitch meetings 
  • Serve as main connection to and manager of these relationships with top musicians and cultural icons nurture and grow the relationship over time, coordinating with Entertainment Relations leads
  • Provide frequent updates to Gibson’s leadership and stakeholders on partnerships strategy, execution, and results 
  • Review requests for collaborations and establish a weekly review meeting with stakeholders to make decisions on partnerships
  • In collaboration with our legal team, develop the partnership contractual relationships for the approval of the Brand President 
  • Leverage data, insights, and measurements tools (Identify and report KPIs)

to measure the success of individual partnerships and the partnership program

Education and Experience:

 

  • Minimum of 7 years of brand partnerships and/or marketing experience 
  • College degree 
  • Entertainment, fashion, premium brands, or music industry experience a plus
  • Proven track record of successful management of partnerships for established brands

 

Travel Requirements: 

 

  • This position is office based, with domestic and international travel
