OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of a Scuff Sander is to remove any imperfections in the surface of the base coat of lacquer. This will result in a smooth and consistent finish on the guitar. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities will include: 

• Learn and execute standard operating procedures
• Use an orbital sander without burning through the lacquer  
• Able to use 400 grit sandpaper by hand 
• 95% pass rate based on production requirements 
• Understands and meets quality standards (Specs.) 
• Maintains product flow at appropriate rate 
• Adheres to department protocols (5S and Safety)

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of model types and color schemes 
• Develop a strong understanding of the models 
• Strong attention to detail.

• Outstanding time management skillset with the ability to prioritize without direct supervision
