This Gibson Custom Select J-45™ Standard in Grizzly Burst features a brand-new finish as well as a plethora of other hand-selected features. Gibson Custom Select shows what is possible through Dealer Select and Made to Measure programs. These guitars have hand-picked features such as unique tonewoods and custom finishes on existing models. Gibson Custom Select guitars are designed by Gibson experts, and these guitars are made in small batches by skilled artisans in Bozeman, Montana. This J-45 Standard features gold hardware, a bearclaw spruce top, a striped ebony bridge and fretboard, a custom Grizzly Burst finish, and more details from head to toe on this guitar.
The Gibson J-45 is one of the most recorded acoustic guitars in history. With its spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the model is perfect for the singer-songwriter with its short scale length. Fitted with simple dot inlays, no neck binding, and a simple rosette, the J-45 is everything that is needed for a top-performing acoustic guitar. Models like the Southern Jumbo have included more ornamentation like neck binding and split parallelogram inlays to dress up the utilitarian guitar. Moving on to the neck of the guitar, the absence of typical dot inlays allows the striped ebony fretboard to stand out beautifully.
