Job Summary: The Repair Technician (Repair & Restoration) is responsible for addressing various guitar issues ranging from basic to expert level repairs. The role is a blend of craftsmanship, quality, and customer service and focuses industry standards for repair and quality. The DEMO Shop team is highly dependent on the efficient contribution of every team member. The repair technician position is the highly skilled role for the team and their commitment to industry standard service and quality is critical.
Essential Functions:
- Structural repairs (Electric and Acoustic).
- Evaluating guitar needs and creating internal repair orders.
- Guitar tear down and rebuild.
- Pro-Setups.
- Electronics repair.
- Intermediate finish repair.
- Spot buffing as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient guitar playing experience a plus (Required for some workstations).
- Finish repair experience preferred.
- Experience safely handling finished guitars.
- Guitar repair operator experience preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Ability to be a great team member; supporting peers and creating a healthy work environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Solutions oriented approach to challenges/issues.
- Outstanding time management skillset with the ability to prioritize without direct supervision.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Guitar repair experience is required.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand all day and lift guitars throughout the day.
