Quality Management Director

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

The Quality Management Director will be an exceptionally capable leader dedicated to leading, managing, implementing, and delivering programs and processes that drive optimal quality throughout the manufacturing process, including in all production and distribution facilities as well as 3rd party and supplier locations, while establishing and maintaining common standards across the entire Gibson manufacturing organization.  In addition, the Quality Management Director must establish, monitor and continuously update quality performance metrics that track actual result to ensure consistency with the strategic and operational vision of the company. The successful candidate will be a natural front-line leader with the executive presence to establish immediate credibility with manufacturing leaders as well as other senior executives.
 
Reporting to the Chief Production Officer, the Quality Management Director will oversee a quality management team of employees across the production facilities and at headquarters. The primary responsibilities of the Quality Management Director include developing and driving a comprehensive quality management program, establishing performance objectives for each team member, and determining, documenting and implementing quality management core policies, tools and processes to ensure sustainable performance.

Quality Management Program:

Define, implement, monitor and continuously improve global quality management strategies and processes

Quality Audit Program:

Define, implement, and manage an overall quality audit program including internal production facilities, sales & distribution sites, 3rd party and supplier locations, and other vendors as needed

Ensure members of the quality management team provide excellent service and drive value-added results to the company:

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Required Experience and Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a highly seasoned quality management professional. This individual must be extremely intelligent, personable, dynamic, and innovative, with exceptional strategic and project management skills, yet one who deploys an energetic day-to-day “get-it-done” attitude. This leader must also possess solid communication skills, a management presence, and the ability to influence and work effectively with a solid cadre of experienced senior company executives as well as all external constituents. The successful candidate must be a business partner to the CPO and other members of the executive leadership team. The successful candidate’s qualifications will include:

Travel

Periodic domestic and international travel to and between the company’s manufacturing and distribution locations will be required (approximately 20-30%).
