A Whole Lotta Les!

The Les Paul™ Standard returns to the classic design that made it relevant, played, and loved – shaping sound across generations and genres of music. It pays tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of innovation and brings authenticity back to life. The Gibson Les Paul Standard is one of the world’s most beloved electric guitar designs, and the Les Paul Standard 60s delivers the classic features found on Les Paul models from the very early 1960s.

The Les Paul Standard 60s has a non-weight-relieved solid mahogany body with an AA figured maple top that adds a bit of extra sustain and bite to the warmth and midrange punch of the mahogany. The mahogany neck has a fast-playing SlimTaper™ profile for hours and hours of comfortable play, while the bound Indian rosewood fretboard is outfitted with 22 medium jumbo frets and is adorned with acrylic trapezoid inlays. The 12” fretboard radius makes it equally comfortable when you’re playing first-position chords or bending the strings further up the neck, and despite the low action, there’s no risk of string bends choking out.

The Les Paul Standard 60s is equipped with a classic ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Grover® Rotomatic® tuning machines “with Kidney" buttons, and gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors. A Graph Tech® nut also helps keep the tuning nice and solid in partnership with the Grover tuners, ABR-1 bridge, and Stop Bar tailpiece. The two 60s Burstbucker™ pickups are loaded with Alnico 5 magnets and hand-wired to individual volume and tone controls that feature audio taper potentiometers. The tone controls use Orange Drop® capacitors. The 3-way pickup selector toggle switch lets you use either pickup individually or combine them, and the individual controls allow you to blend the pickups in any ratio you prefer. The controls are topped with gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors, just like the classic early 60s Les Paul Standard models. A hardshell case is also included to keep this iconic guitar safe when in storage or when traveling.

Chitarra impeccabile arrivata senza difetti

"Chitarra impeccabile arrivata senza difetti e ben settata. Unica nota è stata spedita non nella sua scatola originale, ma in quella di un basso e quindi più grande. La chitarra non era stabile all'interno dell'imballo e si muove a. Fortunatamente non ci sono stati danni. Inoltre sarebbe stato utile avere l'etichetta originale con il seriale per una futura rivendita"

The guitar that I've wanted

"The guitar that I've wanted since I was twelve. It's wonderful."

So I was looking for

"So I was looking for a new Les Paul since my 2006 Standard w/ 60s neck was in the shop due to a headstock break by a clumsy gig hostess (who of course refused to pay for the repair). I knew I was after the 60s re-issue as I LOVE the 60's necks, so I initially wanted the Blueberry Burst, however with it being out of stock, I looked at other colours. I have always loved BRG (reminds me of my father's 1936 MG TB which was BRG), and since it is a new colour for this year, I figured why not. Now since I reckoned I would not need 2 Les Pauls with the same pickups, my plan was to put Lollar Novel-90s in this guitar. I had forgotten that my '06 Les Paul has Burstbucker Pros and not the 60s Burstbuckers (since it is not a full on 60s re-issue, just a 60's neck), once I got this guitar I absolutely fell in love with the 60's Burstbucker pickups. They sound AMAZING through my Orange AD140TC & 2x Orange PPC412 cabs. My only complaint is now I still a guitar with P-90s in it, so I reckon an SG Special will be in the offing before long (or an ES-339 if I can get out of guitar jail with the wife). One other note: I paid for Next Day Air shipping, and UPS fumbled the ball & it got delayed several days. Gibson was quick to refund the shipping cost, so I am very pleased & will definitely purchase directly from Gibson again in the future."
