This Mod Collection 2026 Explorer™ 70s has a Billiard Bullion finish. The modifications consist of the Mod Collection-exclusive custom finish with a complementary painted pickguard and gloss-patterned neck and sides, gold hardware, 490R neck and 498T bridge pickups, and gold knurled knobs. It weighs 3.9 kg and comes with a hardshell case and two-year playability warranty.

All Gibson guitars go through rigorous QC, but every once in a while, a guitar with outstanding playability and tone doesn’t quite meet the strict cosmetic standards at our craftories.
