The Les Paul™ Studio Session builds on the tonal versatility of the Les Paul Studio platform with a pair of ‘57 Classic™ and ‘57 Classic + humbucker™ pickups and a three-way pickup selector switch that allows you to use either pickup individually or run them together. Each volume control is equipped with a push/pull switch for coil tapping, and each tone control also has a push/pull switch–one for phase and the other for Pure Bypass, giving you extremely versatile tonal capabilities.

Like the Les Paul Studio, the Les Paul Studio Session features an Ultra Modern weight-relieved mahogany body, making it more comfortable to play in any gig or jam session. Building on the reimagined Les Paul Studio, the Les Paul Studio Session further expands on this iconic platform and takes playability to new places. In addition to the essential Les Paul features–humbucking pickups, a glued-in, set neck, and a mahogany body with a maple cap–the Les Paul Studio Session also provides enhancements in playability with features such as a bound ebony fretboard, SlimTaper™ neck, and a Modern Contoured Heel. Adding an AA figured maple top creates a guitar that can go anywhere–from the writing session to the jam session to the studio session. This is a guitar that belongs in any session.

Each of the two pickups is wired to its own volume control, so you can blend the sound from the pickups together in any amount you choose. Each volume control is equipped with a push/pull switch for coil tapping, giving you two different sounds from each pickup, and each pickup also has its own individual tone control for even more sonic options.
