This Gibson Custom Select 1957 SJ-200 features a thermally aged Sitka spruce top that mimics the aging of a decades-old spruce top on a vintage instrument. Over time, the sugars in the spruce will crystallize, giving the wood a unique character common to vintage guitars. AAA flame maple is featured on the back and sides of the guitar, showcasing the level of figured tonewoods used in Gibson Custom instruments. The iconic 4-bar Moustache™ SJ-200 bridge is meticulously crafted from a piece of ebony. The fretboard is also ebony and glued to a three-piece AAA flame maple neck.
