The new SG™ Custom Modern Quilt from Epiphone sets a new standard for performance and innovation. The latest version of this Inspired by Gibson model from the Modern Collection builds on the foundation of the SG Custom and adds new features that make it more comfortable to play and better than ever.
The Epiphone SG Custom Modern Quilt features a double cutaway Modern SG mahogany body with a light, ergonomic feel. The body features a AAAA quilted maple veneer top, enhancing the guitar’s beautiful aesthetic. The mahogany neck features a SlimTaper™ C profile. It attaches to the body at the 24th fret, providing the player with excellent access to the entire length of the bound ebony fretboard. The fretboard has a 10”-14” compound radius for exceptional playing comfort, whether you’re bending strings or playing chords, and is equipped with 24 extra durable, stainless steel medium jumbo frets. The fret ends are hemispherical for even greater playing comfort, and the fretboard is adorned with Custom pearloid block inlays.
On the bound 60s Kalamazoo-style headstock, you’ll find locking Grover® Rotomatic® tuners with tulip buttons and a Graph Tech® nut, delivering rock-solid tuning stability. The headstock also features the Epiphone logo and a Custom split diamond inlaid in mother of pearl. Nickel-plated LockTone™ hardware, including a Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece, anchors the strings at the other ends and delivers full adjustability for action and intonation. Posi-Lok™ strap buttons keep your strap securely attached without requiring any additional hardware.
Powering the SG Custom Modern Quilt are a pair of Epiphone T-Type PRO™ humbucker™ pickups with nickel covers. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls. The volume controls feature push/pull potentiometers for coil splitting, and one of the tone controls has a push/pull switch for phase switching when both pickups are used together. Put it all together, and the SG Custom Modern Quilt is an outstanding choice for players at every stage. It comes with a premium gig bag to keep it safe on the way to your next gig.

"Awesome guitar (my first SG). First, it looks great. Color and finish! Plugged in it sounds great. Love the split coils and out of phase option. 24 frets a plus. Expected some neck dive, but it's well balanced. Love it."
