Valley Arts Guitar will celebrate its unique entertainment venue in downtown Nashville with the 1st Annual Rally in the Valley, featuring free musical entertainment from top regional and local bands, plus a drawing for a free Valley Arts guitar. Admission is free and 102.9 FM "The Buzz" will broadcast the celebration live from 5-7pm.

Featured artists include "The Sinners," "Nick Rather and The Shades," "The DeVilles," "Warner Hodges with the Disciples of Loud." Also in the line up is a special performance by "XLT" marking the first time they are together as a band since the break up of "Little Texas" some years back. Guests will be able to see all bands perform beginning at 4pm rain or shine. Beer and Food will be available and partial proceeds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) of Nashville, Tennessee.

In addition to the musical entertainment, 15 year-old racing sensation Tent Mayo will be on hand with his Gibson Custom sponsored Legends car. He will be on hand for a meet and greet with fans. Autographs and photos will be available. Prizes and contests for a Valley Arts guitar, Epiphone electric guitar player packs and Epiphone T-shirts are all part of the excitement of this event. Those wishing to register to win must pick up the entry forms at the Valley Arts store prior to the event. The event will take place in the Valley Arts parking lot (lower level) located just North of Broadway between 12th Avenue and Porter Avenue.

Guests to the 1st Annual Rally in the Valley will have a special opportunity to experience the sounds of Gibson Guitar. A specially outfitted Custom Trailer featuring Gibson Guitars along with Valley Arts models, Epiphone and Signature Custom Guitars will be in the parking lot for all to visit. Guests can play any guitar inside the trailer and experience the innovation and quality of a Gibson. A special Valley Arts model guitar will also be given away in a sweepstakes offered just that evening. All attending the function are encouraged to enter to win.

The 1st Annual Rally in the Valley is made possible by the bands who have agreed to perform and the production expertise of Hugh Bennett Productions and Nashville Metro Parks. Gibson Guitar and Valley Arts invite Nashville to the downtown event of the season
