Celebrated pop singer-songwriters Richard Marx and Kenny Loggins joined Country hit-makers Lonestar to "raise the roof" at the historic Ryman Auditorium Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Third Annual Gibson/Baldwin All Star Music Bash benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Nashville, Tennessee.
Marx and his wife Cynthia served as co-chairs while Tennessean celebrity news columnist Brad Schmitt emceed.
Gibson/Baldwin created a custom-made Les Paul guitar that was auctioned at a pre-concert event, a Les Paul Melody Maker for a silent auction and a Gibson Memphis ES-335 that was auctioned live from the stage.
Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic lung and digestive disease affecting over 30,000 children and adults in the United States. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation funds research for the development of new drugs to fight the disease and the search for a cure. The cost of developing a single new drug is estimated at more than $300 million. Visit www.cff.org for more information.
