Maverick Records artist Ben Jelen plays red Baldwin for debut listening sessions

New recording artist Ben Jelen showcased his musical chops on the Jubilee Red Baldwin Custom Grand piano at the Gibson New York Showroom in the Hit Factory on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 20-21. Jelen's debut album for Maverick Records, Give It All Away, is set to bow in stores in March 2004, and he debuted songs from that album during a private listening session.

Jelen is a multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, guitar and violin. His upcoming album Give It All Away is billed as a pop album that makes creative use of unconventional elements.

"I don't write just one type of song," he explains in his bio. "I write what I see, do and feel. The blood boiling when you're angry, your pulse racing when you're excited - that's what's important. When I feel like that, the song already exists in my mind and I just start writing."
