Baldwin jazzes up Mt. Laurel Center with Homer Simpson, loves Miss America and more

Three Baldwin Artist Grands will welcome a host of world-renowned artists at the inaugural season of the Mountain Laurel Center for the Performing Arts in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountatins this summer - two nine-foot Baldwin SD-10s and a seven-foot SF-10.

The new multi-venue Center will feature classical, contemporary, jazz and country music as well as comedy, dance, cabaret and film seven days and nights a week. Performers include Broadway divas Patti Lupone (Evita, Les Miserables) and Linda Lavin and the cast of Hairspray, jazz stalwarts Randy Brecker, Phil Woods and Dick Hyman, blues belters Gatemouth Brown and John Hammond and the Philadelphia Orchestra and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. On Thursday afternoons, PEN/Faulkner literary prize authors will read, discuss and sign their works at the Boathouse while later this summer the lake-front venue will host the satirical MacHomer with Homer Simpson as MacBeth, Marge Simpson as Lady MacBeth and all the dysfunctional Springfield characters.
