Diamond White Sparkle CS-356 marks Gibson Custom's 10th Anniversary

Gibson's Custom, Art & Historic division is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2003 with four special models (one each quarter in limited edition of 30), featuring Diamond White Sparkle finish and highly engraved gold hardware, as well as gold/engraved pickguards and truss rod covers. The 10th anniversary CS-356, a highly ornamented version of its unique, routed semi-hollowbody design, is the Q3 model, joining the L-4 Thinline (Q1) and '68 Les Paul Custom (Q2).

"Although Gibson has made custom-order instruments for over 100 years, the Custom Shop itself has only existed as a stand-alone division since 1993," explains Henry Juszkiewicz, Gibson Chairman and CEO. "These four guitars pay tribute to a century's worth of Gibson history, as well as a decade of Custom Shop artistry."

The top of the CS-356 is maple, while the back and sides are tonally carved from a single block of mahogany. It features a one-piece mahogany neck and ebony fretboard with pearl block inlays and "10th anniversary" etched on the inlay at the 12th fret.

Each of the Gibson Custom's 10th Anniversary guitars is available through authorized Gibson Custom dealers worldwide.

The Custom Shop Q4 model will be announced at a later date.
