Gibson Summer Moves and Grooves:

Justin Timberlake | Gov't Mule | Brad Wolf

Gibson rocks England's V Festival

Virgin Mobile's V 2003 Festival, one of the biggest outdoor summer concert events in England, boasted a lineup including headlining acts Coldplay and the Red Hot Chili Peppers this year. The festival took place August 16-17 at Hylands Park, Essex and Weston Park in Straffordshire, and Gibson and Epiphone were onsite at Hylands Park with VIP hospitality and cool guitars. Many artists including Chris Shiflett (Foo Fighters), the Hives, David Gray, Reel Big Fish, and Irish punk-pop trio Ash stopped by to chat and demo instruments, and artist interviews were conducted in the "tent." Virgin Records sponsors the event, which brings in an estimated estimated 120,000 people a day - over 240,000 for the two-day total. For more information on the festival, go here.

Justin Timberlake strums Montana LC-1 on the road

Pop sensation Justin Timberlake's U.S. tour is heating up, and he's been strumming a new kind of guitar - a specially designed Gibson Montana LC-1 Cascade in a blue jean finish. The LC-1 is an acoustic/electric small-body cutaway model that features a cedar top and solid quilted maple back and sides with pearl dot fingerboard inlays. Timberlake is doing select tour dates with dance-pop diva Christina Aguilera in late August/early Sept.

Gov't Mule digs their Slingerland Drums

Matt Abts, drummer for Southern blues rock outfit Gov't Mule, has been wailing on his Slingerland Drums for years, and this concert in Nashville was no exception. Gov't Mule performed for Nashville River Stages, a three day festival that features a variety of local and international artists who play stages along the Cumberland River in Nashville. Slingerland, the legendary brand played by Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich, are being produced in Conway, Ark. - a return to U.S. production.
