New Part 3: Cultural icons lead new Gibson Custom lineup
Gibson's
Custom, Art & Historic division
pays tribute to a wide range of cultural icons, from musicians to motorcycles
to classic Gibson guitars.
The guitars of three influential musicians - Gary Rossington of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers Band and reggae king Bob Marley - are almost as famous as the musicians themselves, and Custom replicated these three original Les Paul models.
Gibson's trademark Les Paul model also served as the "vehicle" for a limited edition model inspired by the Indian motorcycle.
Non-Reverse Firebird: Another great Gibson, the "non-reverse" Firebird of the 1960s has been brought up to date with new metallic finish colors. The original version, made from 1965-69, was the showcase model for Gibson's custom colors of the 1960s, and the new version is available in Pthalo Blue, Cardinal Red and Antique Natural.
Limited
Edition Non-Reverse Firebird Plus: The Limited Edition Non-Reverse
Firebird Plus retains all the grit and power of the standard Non-Reverse
Firebird, but adds the versatility of coil-tapping and three striking
new finishes to the mix - Blue Swirl with chrome hardware, Red Swirl
and Green Swirl with gold hardware. Only 60 will be available at Gibson
Custom dealers.
