"The Chicago Cubs represent an organization who have a dedicated and enthusiastic fan-base, much like Gibson guitar players, they are passionate and devoted to their interest. As an American manufacturer, Gibson is celebrating over 100 years of business by recognizing two great American traditions; baseball and the Blues," said Juszkiewicz during a ceremony at Grant Park. Gibson have been an annual sponsor of the Chicago Blues Festival, since 1997.

These artistically crafted custom guitars, in Cubs colors with the team logo, are outfitted with the names and images of prominent Chicago Cubs players and Hall of Famers of past and present, as well as a rendition of Chicago legend Harry Caray and the Chicago landmark, Wrigley Field. Each guitar took several months to create and has an estimated value of $8000.
