Electar rolls out 2 studio-quality stereo mixers

Electar, a division of Gibson Musical Instruments, today
announced the availability of the new XM
and XPM
Series professional stereo mixing consoles. In
development for over 2 years, these two new Electar mixers offer a combination
of studio features, high-quality components, built-in circuit protection
and all-steel cabinets for maximum versatility and years of peak performance.
The new XM-1204
is a 12-channel stereo, compact console mixer thats perfect for
recording and studio use. Channels 1-4 are equipped
with Electars studio-grade mic preamps for low-noise with maximum headroom
performance. Channels 4-8 are equipped with STEREO L & R line inputs.
Other features include two aux sends, two stereo aux returns plus effects
to Monitor, three-band active EQ controls per channel, individual SOLO
switch per channel comprehensive MIX/SUB/AUX routing and headphone output.
The XM-1204 is built in a rugged, all-steel chassis and is supplied
with hardware for optional rack-mount use.
The new XPM-1204
mixer shares the same basic features as the XM, except it adds 200
watts (100W x 2 @ 4 ohms) of quiet, reliable power making it perfect
for live applications.
Additionally, the XPM-1204 uses built-in Digital Signal
Processing (DSP) to provide 256 different multi-effects including Reverb,
Delay, Flanger and Chorus.
